To anyone who will read or hear it,


As Regent of the Sacrum Romanorum Imperium Nationis Germanicae, We, Flavien Charles Galanodel, have the difficult task to announce the death of Our beloved Holy Empress, Her Imperial Majesty Marina "Adala" Borgia.

She was found dead in Her bath, this morning, and without any doubts, We can affirm that She was the victim of an assassination. The culprit, once found, and soon it will be, will be tortured and hanged.

We offer our sincere condolences to Her family & friends, may the Almighty be a source of strength and comfort for them in their terrible loss.

This is a sad day for the Empire; the sun went down with the last breath of our beloved Empress. Let’s take time to pray for Her soul, let’s bow our heads in respect for a woman of compassion who deeply loved Her subjects, let’s join our hands to pay our respect to a great Lady.

It is with deep regret and sorrow that We declare the beginning of the Great Grief of Her Imperial Majesty which will last 15 days. A book of condolences will be opened for all subjects who want to pay tribute to and honor Our late Empress. Great funerals will be prepared, as soon as the testimony of Her Imperial & Holy Majesty is opened. We ask the Imperial Household to be preapared for this, as their help will be required.

We also wish to remind the Imperial Mourning Dress Protocol:
- Their Highnesses, the children of the Imperial Sovereigns, wear gray.
- The noble will wear abstemious black or white outfits.
- The noble women will have their hair veiled/covered.
- Swords will be bore with a mourning ribbon for soldiers and banished for the nobles that do not have the obligation to bear one.
- The noble shields will be worn in black and white.
- The people will be dressed as much as possible without any color, that is to say they will mostly wear black and/or white. If they cannot afford it, they will wear a white and/or black cloth at the waist.
- Jewellery and ornaments are banned except for the high nobility and shall be worn with discretion and humility.

We ask the Regents of the Imperial Provinces, the Heralds, the Sovereigns or Regents of the Imperial Kingdoms to make sure that this law is followed everywhere. Sanctions will be taken against those who do not respect it.

According to the Great Charta and to Her Majesty’s last wishes, We will rule the Sacrum Romanorum Imperium Nationis Germanicae until the new elections to raise a new Emperor to the Throne. Feel free to ask any questions you have.
